Proclamations and Lighthouses

General Musings

The modern LDS organization has a formidable legal team, and could have been heroic this past year. They understand, or should, the Lord’s encouragement of abiding by the law. All laws? Nope.

"...that law of the land which is constitutional, supporting that principle of freedom in maintaining rights and privileges, belongs to all mankind, and is justifiable before me." (LDS D&C 98:5;.RE T&C 98:2)

You can harass me with the "...render unto Caesar..." business, but a moment later the Lord anticipates your concern with:

"And as pertaining to law of man, whatsoever is more or less than this, cometh of evil." (LDS D&C 98:7; RE T&C 98:2)

The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution recognizes the fundamental and inalienable rights of the peaceable exercise of religion and assembly. No authority exists which can, legally, remove those rights, either collectively or individually from U.S. citizens. Since meeting together is a doctrinal component of the LDS exercise of religion, it seems to me that a prophet of God, with a legal powerhouse in his pocket, and the Lord’s support of constitutional law, might just stand up to Nebuchadnezzar. Unless, of course, well... Wouldn't that be a colossal lighthouse, for many?

(Frank Koch's lighthouse story, related in Steven Covey's, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, page 33, has been ignored by many, at their peril. It is the quintessential example of a paradigm shift. In essence, what our pride thinks is reality, may be shockingly, and traditionally, wrong.)

The Proclamation I’d Like to See

A to-the-point Proclamation, (and I mean that with a capital “P”), would make a hero of the church prophet to good Christians everywhere, regardless of lighthouses. To wit:

"We declare and affirm, the people's sovereignty over matters of peaceful religious practice and assembly, as guaranteed by our founding documents. Therefore, notwithstanding current, clearly extra-constitutional governmental edict, at any level, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will continue to meet, as usual, per the direction of the Lord, and without masks but with singing. If law enforcement moves against us, we hereby, commit to a $100 Billion defense fund, (to be replenished as necessary), with an ultimate visit to the Supreme Court, if that is required."

How many LDS would diaper-up in fear and follow Babylon, as usual, or attend church, maskless, sitting side-by-side and singing the hymns of the Restoration? I'd be there, for sure. Oh, the horror, you say, millions will die!

"But aren't you afraid of getting sick?" the diaper-faced ask with all sincerity. "Well," I answer, "I haven't had a cold or the flu in probably 20 years. So no, I'm not the slightest bit fearful of getting sick." Our Lord has graciously provided inexpensive and effective tools for our health maintenance. Setting aside the legal issues for a moment, let's explore that and see where it leads. This is important but only the smokescreen to mask the real target—total population control. A sickly and fearful population is far easier to control.

Terrain maintenance is the fundamental doctrine of mortal health. A healthy immune system is at the core. How you get there is unique to you. You must become your own primary physician, much to the chagrin of the American-Medical-Association-FDA-not-so-secret combination.

And Now an Episode of General Hospital…

For many years, I experienced at least one bout of tonsillitis/strep throat, always in the Fall, and sometimes again, in the Spring. Twice, it put me in the hospital. Thirty years ago, with high blood pressure, and 50 pounds I didn't need around my gut, my appendix decided, however appendices decide such things, to explode. Fortunately, the timetable to explosion gave us time to visit the local emergency room. The surgeon said it was close.

Once healed, I headed out without a care in the world and a sack full of fast food. A couple of years later, another operation fixed an inflamed hernia. I was becoming quite weary of doctors and hospitals. After my kindly doctor advised me to "make sure my affairs were in order," I resolved to act. Over a few months and one of the infamous HCG diet episodes, I dropped my beloved 50 pounds. I'd say I lost them but I know exactly where they went thanks to indoor plumbing and coffee enemas.

I became my own primary physician. A major part of my education departed from the standard American Medical Association (AMA) dogma. I discovered the concept of "Terrain Theory." The AMA preaches "Germ Theory." The difference is in economics, rather than medicine. A quick study of the two philosophies is important for us to understand how we arrived at our current dubious state of medicine.

Lions and Terrain and Germs, Oh My!

Terrain Theory describes our bodies as the "terrain" upon which pathogens may gather. A healthy immune system is quite capable of dealing with the vast majority of these pathogens. Hence the emphasis on nutrition and immune-system-supporting supplements.
Germ Theory seeks to identify each pathogen and then develop a specific substance, (labeled medicine), that will kill it. A patent obtained for the substance, and the AMA's “King of the Jungle” approval, allows for high prices and built-in scarcity.

Quality control is a low priority, as demonstrated by the common policy juxtaposition of cost-to-fix vs costs-of-lawsuit-settlements. If the former is higher than the latter, patients lose. The proliferation of class-action lawsuits against drug companies for the, sometimes, horrific side-effects of these substances, ought to inform us of the folly of this strategy.

Make no mistake, modern medical technology can be nearly miraculous in assisting our body's healing capability. I don't set my own bones or suture my cuts. However, care must be taken when doctors offer drug company's dubious medicinal remedies. We ought to do our homework and decide, for ourselves, if there are other options. As much as our society preaches that these bodies of ours are, in fact, ours to govern, the AMA firmly halts that line of thinking at your doctor's doorstep, unless you seek to murder an unborn child.

Choose your allegiance. Will it be government bureaucrats, and their approved drug companies offering their concoctions of questionable value, or God, who made these bodies with miraculous self-maintenance and healing capabilities, if you give them the nourishment they need?

If you choose the Latter, your education will be ongoing. You know your body. Or, perhaps you will begin to pay more attention, and learn. Your digestive system will teach you. So will your cardiac, lymph, eliminative, nervous, and other bodily systems. You cannot be toxic and healthy. Modern foods may taste good and be easy to prepare, but many are nothing less than poison to your body. Paying attention to the effects of food on your body is essential to your education, and your ability to survive and be well.

On Bowling Balls and Childbirth

Data is gathered as you analyze the aftermath, for instance, after devouring a slab of rib-eye with an accompanying baked russet, slathered with all the goodies. Were your insides entirely happy with your menu choice? Did you ponder, for a moment, that you had mistaken a bowling ball for that steak and potato? Or, do you expect it, and consider it normal to frequently replicate childbirth with your bowel movements? And how are your hemorrhoids?

If this is out-grossing, perhaps it's time you awoke to your awful situation. This can't be about taste, texture, or emotion. We eat to live; we do not live to eat. It does us well, to learn that our bodies digest various foods at different rates, and with different digestive enzymes. Food combinations then become an important part of menu choices to avoid conflicts and poorly digested food. It may not be that you can't eat certain foods at all, but just not together with certain others.

These and many other nuances of nutritional data, when combined, form the foundation of your unique health profile. No doctor can possibly know these intimate details. Along the way, you'll discover remedies you never thought existed, or thought were unimportant, or even, gross.

I love my Nettie pot, for instance, and welcome the sinus-cleansing effects of its use. Some are repelled by the thought of liquid entering one nostril and leaving through the other, after sloshing through sinus cavities. But then they'll complain about allergies or sinus infections, and all the medicines they take. They, by choice, remain asleep, and suffer needlessly.

If You’re Healthy, the Bug People Can’t “Get Above You”

The journey lasts from this moment, on. Which path becomes ours, is entirely up to us. Each of us, individually, must choose: Healthy and able to easily remain well, no matter what kind of "bug" is going around, or, living a fear-filled life? No authority has the right to make that choice for us or to artificially instill fear as a basis for clearly unconstitutional and immoral restrictions on assembly or worship.

Let's drill down through that, for a moment. What causes fear? But, more to the point, what would cause a life to be filled with fear? We could name a thousand things, but they all add up to a capricious danger of some kind, mixed with a complete lack of control over the situation. Moroni gives us this:

"...and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain..." (LDS Ether 8:23; RE Ether 3:18)

Are "murderous combinations" equivalent to capricious danger? Can a complete lack of control be characterized as "get above you?" Certainly, both are true. And lest you think Moroni speaks from personal opinion or conjecture, consider this:

"Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing."  (LDS Mormon 8:35; RE Mormon 4:5)

Our Lord comes to the point, and a command then, with this admonishment:

"...that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation..." (Ether 8:24; RE Ether 3:18)

This is the point of the King Omer story, from Ether 8, which Moroni was relating when the Lord injected His admonishment to us. This is God's warning, specifically, to those of the latter days. This is what our day will be like. Be aware, and awake, and arise. Do not allow the Adversary’s influence to lull your pride into a crash course toward a lighthouse, and the dangers it was put there to help you avoid.

Don’t let the authoritative man in the white suit lead you, as he did with Lehi, to desolation. You will be deceived by the most trusted. You will be given a political choice of two doors leading to the same room. The wicked will fight the wicked. Don’t jump in the whirlpool. Look to God, and live. He will deliver you just as He did Lehi.

The movie would certainly be R-rated. The Ether 8 story follows a righteous king, Omer, who was the son of a righteous king, Shule. Omer's son, Jared, was not so good. The story is about pride, jealousy, envy, deception, treason, immorality, sensual enticement, political corruption, and murder for power and gain, to hit the high points. Sounds like today's normal.

These elements of severe wickedness have become prime-time entertainment, and news. Fiction mixes with history and we don’t know who, or what, to believe as mainstream media sings a well-orchestrated but monotoned melody. Make no mistake, this is corruption from the top down. The power elite have made it impossible to even productively elect a president, anymore, if the voice of the people rejects their desires. That collective voice has been manipulated to choose iniquity.

Our Lord’s Own Proclamation

"And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgments of God will come upon you; yea, then is the time he will visit you with great destruction even as he has hitherto visited this land." (LDS Mosiah 29:27; RE Mosiah 13:7)

In some cases, the face-diapered are fearful because they know not where to find the truth about the matter. Our Lord has a proclamation of His own for us, for our day. It holds a message for both the wicked and the aware.

"It is an imperative duty that we owe to God, to angels, with whom we shall be brought to stand, and also to ourselves, to our wives and children, who have been made to bow down with grief, sorrow, and care, under the most damning hand of murder, tyranny, and oppression, supported and urged on and upheld by the influence of that spirit which hath so strongly riveted the creeds of the fathers, who have inherited lies, upon the hearts of the children, and filled the world with confusion, and has been growing stronger and stronger, and is now the very mainspring of all corruption, and the whole earth groans under the weight of its iniquity.

"It is an iron yoke, it is a strong band; they are the very handcuffs, and chains, and shackles, and fetters of hell.

"Therefore it is an imperative duty that we owe, not only to our own wives and children, but to the widows and fatherless, whose husbands and fathers have been murdered under its iron hand;

"Which dark and blackening deeds are enough to make hell itself shudder, and to stand aghast and pale, and the hands of the very devil to tremble and palsy.

"And also it is an imperative duty that we owe to all the rising generation, and to all the pure in heart—

"For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it—

"Therefore, that we should waste and wear out our lives in bringing to light all the hidden things of darkness, wherein we know them; and they are truly manifest from heaven—

"These should then be attended to with great earnestness. Let no man count them as small things..." (LDS D&C 123:7-15; RE T&C 139:14-16)

Someone, with enough of a public voice to be noticed, ought to stand up to Leviathan. Many small, private voices do, but we have no voice in the national public square. Ought it not be the man who millions sustain as he who speaks the words of God, on earth, today? The written words of God denounce and severely excoriate the behavior of our modern government, and urban society. Where are the words of correction from the men in Salt Lake City? The only such words I’ve heard, lately, emanate from Sandy.

Ol' Doc could have been a hero. Turns out he's just another wealthy bureaucrat, basking in the honors of men. And the fearful diaper-faced continue, obliviously steaming their collective ship of fools right along with him, toward the lighthouse which attempts to warn the wise, of the judgements of God in their path.
