Still Alive And Well

General Musings

I once saw Johnny Winter in concert in Dallas, Texas in about 1969. Edgar was playing and singing with him. It was one of the greatest musical displays of Texas Blues/Rock I ever witnessed. If you recall Rick Derringer's tune "Still Alive and Well" made famous by Johnny Winter, you recall these lyrics. "Every now and then I know it's kinda hard to tell, but I'm still alive and well."

My apologies for the huge gap in my posts. I've learned much over the past months about capabilities and video recording. I continue to learn that experience is a great teacher. The result of months of work on my YouTube channel content taught me that I can do better. I am currently in the process of completely reproducing the content there and adding much more. Since this is the busy season for my business, it will take time.

I have bought significantly better video equipment and built a first-class teleprompter. I have taken the speech-to-text transcriptions of my existing content provided by YouTube and am creating much tighter scripting. I am turning my office into a for-real video production studio. Incredible fun. I am not being facetious. It really is a lot of creative fun along with the hard work.

The result will be a much easier to watch production. Episodes will be shorter and come to the point quicker and my eyes will focus on the camera (and audience). I will also begin to post here more often now that the initial period of education in all things video is complete.

So bear with me a bit longer and the wait will be rewarded. I really am still alive and well, much to the chagrin of my Stake President. (Sorry, couldn't help it...lol.)
